TRI-POINT KICKS OFF IN HALL OF FAME CITY!!

        This weekend the Tri-point Football league kicks off their second season, and it's starting with a bang! The weekend will kick off with the "Hall of Fame Classic". Four games at Staudt fields on the campus of Walsh University. The two three 'o'clock games will feature the Mahoning valley Ruff Ryderz vs. the Mountain State Outlawz on field one. While the Steel City Kingz will play the Tri-State Longhorns on field two. The two seven 'o'clock games will see the Canton Hurricanes take on defending league champ Greensburg Golden Hawks, while the Cleveland Cobras will take on the West Virginia Leviathans. To get you ready for Saturday night, let's preview the game we will be covering as the Cobras look to get back to playoff form again Leviathans. First up, the Cobras. CRUNCH ROOKIES PART 2: GETTING TO KNOW BOBBY T!!

     From Saint Ignatius, to Walsh University, and now the Cleveland Crunch. Bobby Tsirambidis has continued the father/son legacy as he is the second player on the team that became a second generation Crunch player. Bobby is making his mark and will be appearing in his first playoff game and possibly a road to the championship. Something his dad Tim Tsirambidis did with the Crunch back in the 90's. We were able to speak with Bobby via phone conversation and here's what he had to say.   "  O bviously your dad was an influence for soccer. THE RESURGENCE OF HBCU FOOTBALL!

  This network has talked about the world of HBCU football on our podcast "4th & 15 with Mel and Smooth" plenty of times enough to know that there was a strong possibility that a change was coming in that area of college football. It started with the hiring of head coach Deion Sanders at Jackson State University. Within this same season HBCU football games had been shown on ESPN more than they ever had before. With the hiring of "Coach Prime" came another surprise hiring with former NFL great Eddie George at Tennessee State. Along with the Hiring if Coach George at Tennessee State, there have been rumors of another NFL great Marshall Faulk possibly being hired at Southern University. This may not seem like a big deal until you think about all that comes with these names. Take away the fact they are NFL greats for a second and think about the influence they have.
