SENATE LEAGUE PREVIEW: COLLINWOOD HIGH SCHOOL

 We are continuing on in our Senate league preview. Today we head to the railroad station on E.152nd street and St. Clair known as Collinwood High School.

Overall Preview: The Railroaders are looking to rebuild and reload after covid canceled the 2020 season. Back in 2018 the Railroaders finished strong, winning their last four games to make the Senate City Championship before falling to John Marshall. 2019 wasn't so kind to the Railroaders as they would finish the season 2-8, but Head Coach Greg Wheeler jr. is looking to continue his goal to build back up the Railroader tradition.



      " Covid caused a mass amount of transfers out of the district. We may have some young players, but they are developing fast and getting better every day. I'm looking forward to seeing the potential of this team."


FINAL PREDICTION: I expect this Railroader team to fight all season. If it's anything I know it's that the Railroaders always fight to the end. With games against Geneva, North Canton Hoover, and Warrensville Heights to start the season the Railroaders will be battle tested when conference play begins. 


FINAL RECORD: If the Railroaders can come out of their non-conference schedule with at least one win that could be big going into conference play. I see a 6-4 record and a possible trip back to the City Championship game in November. BLUE STEEL!!!!

 ~ Wichita, Kansas~ The Cleveland Crunch made a statement in the M2 soccer playoffs by sending the Amarillo Bombers on a early vacation in blowout fashion. Winning 12-6 in what started out as a even contest. The Bombers would draw first blood, but Admir Suljevic would put one in the net on a shootout for the crunch to tie the game at 1-1. with 10 seconds left in the first, Suljevic(2) would strike again for the Crunch giving them a 2-1 lead over the Bombers going into the second period. The Bombers would score again to tie the game back at 2-2, but the Crunch would go on a 4 goal terror with goals scored by Derezic, Bell, Jordan, and Minick before the Bombers would even sniff the net again at with 16 seconds left before half time. TRI-POINT KICKS OFF IN HALL OF FAME CITY!!

        This weekend the Tri-point Football league kicks off their second season, and it's starting with a bang! The weekend will kick off with the "Hall of Fame Classic". Four games at Staudt fields on the campus of Walsh University. The two three 'o'clock games will feature the Mahoning valley Ruff Ryderz vs. the Mountain State Outlawz on field one. While the Steel City Kingz will play the Tri-State Longhorns on field two. The two seven 'o'clock games will see the Canton Hurricanes take on defending league champ Greensburg Golden Hawks, while the Cleveland Cobras will take on the West Virginia Leviathans. SWERVE VISIT THE LAND FOR ROUND 2!

    Back in December, we as a network were in Cincinnati for the first meeting between the Swerve and Crunch. Although the Swerve won the match 9-8, there was a few if not abundance of fouls not called in favor of the Crunch. especially a foul that was missed right before time ran out on the night. Homefield advantage? Some would say so, but never-the-less the Swerve achieved their first ever win over the Crunch. Fast forward to Saturday night at the Soccerplex in North Olmstead where the Crunch will host the Swerve in could be a early pivitol match-up. A lot has changed since December and so have the MLIS standings. The Crunch now stand alone atop the division while the Swerve are clinging to third place and are a game behind Rapid City. This is the first of another back to back weekend for the Crunch as the will host the Swerve Saturday night and then head to Motown to play the Waza Flo in Detroit.
