All season the teams of the Tri-point football league have battled each other to make it to the league Championship game. This Saturday, the final two will take the field to see who will take the crown. The interesting thing about this year's match-up is that it's a battle of 300's. That's right folks, you heard it right. The Port City Spartans and Ohio Gladiators will do battle this weekend for the 2023 league Crown. Before we go any further, let's take a look at each team with our version of the "tale of the Tape".

Ohio Gladiators:

Record: 6-2

Head Coach: Chris Ballentine

Players to watch: Danny Skalecki, Brandon Milbry, Grant Lisk

OVERALL: The Gladiators played tough games all season. The offense averaged 23 points a game, but that hasn't stopped them from punishing opposing defenses with a balanced attack. Their defense however is their staple. Only giving up 8 points a game, But with a defensive line and secondary the Gladiators have they're always in ever game they play. We spoke with Gladiators head coach Chris Ballentine about what his approach will be going into this weekend.

" I'm not getting off my game plan. Last year, I overthought it and tried to adjust too much. We recognize Port City's talent, and we will make sure our calls are appropriate and correct, but we will play Gladiator football. This year the pressure of us being undefeated isn't there. We can relax and focus. Most of our guys have been through this so their leadership will be important. There is a reason we are 19-3 over the last two years, and we will show it Saturday."

Port City Spartans:

Record: 5-3

Head Coach: Datoine Robinson

Players to watch: Mike Clay, Rashawn Ragglin, Shane Dixon

OVERALL: The New kid on the block has shown they can hold their own in this league. Their offense has progressed over the season averging 29 points a game behind a balanced attack of passing and running led by Mike Clay and Rashawn Ragglin respectively. The defense has given up 18 points a game but, the fact they've been able to outscore most of their opponents all season speaks volumes. Shane Dixon has been the anchor of that Spartan defense. So don't expect any "gimmes" in this game. We also spoke with Spartans head coach Datoine Robinson about his thoughts on making it to the big dance.

" I feel like the guys are ready now more than ever. Everything came into perspective after we got a second chance. We are fortunate, and the knocking off the defending champs really gave us the boost we needed. This is our organization's first ever trip to a league title game so we will be ready.":

The Tri-point weekend will start at 4pm with the league all-star game kicking everything off Saturday at 4pm. Followed by the league Championship game at 8pm. Both games will be played at East Canton High School. It's set to be a awesome day for the final game of the 2023 season in the Tri-point league so you won't want to miss this weekend
