DOUBLE HEADER IN ELYRIA, NEW CHAMPION CROWNED!!

~Elyria, Ohio~

Mega Championship Wrestling returned to action Saturday with a double header that didn't disappoint. Mega decided to give returning wrestling fans a Saturday they wouldn't soon forget. The first show " Hi honey, we're home!" ran as the early show and gave the fans a great card. Eight matches were slated and all gave the fans some long overdue action.

1) Fudo def. the "hairy toothpick" JD Smooth

2) Gavin Gradely def. Joey Vincent Martini

3) Shawn Blaze def. James Skylar w/ Kenn Vazion

4) Meat 'n' Taters def. Coach Payne and Butchie B. Cannon

5) Mega Tag Team championship match: (champions) Crummels and Defarge def. (challengers) Johnny Patches and Jayce Karr

6) Mega Infinity Championship match: (champion) Kalam def. (challenger) El Taino

7) Mega Fighting Spirit championship match: (champion) Brycen Teller def.  Lammy San Dimas, Cisco Silver, and Brennen Richards in a fatal 4-way match.

8) Paxton Calloway def. Bill Collier in the main event of the first event.

The matinee event "Back in Business" was the icing on the cake as "Back in Business" presented a one night tournament for the vacant Mega Championship title. The first round presented some great matches.

1) Derek Dillinger def. Marion Fontaine

2) Vincent Nothing who was favored to win the Mega title def. Chris Lerusso by submission.

3) Nick Nero def. Timmy Lou Retton

4) Trey Miguel who was also favored to be in the finals def. Bryan Convel in what was a very exciting high flying match.

An impromptu match-up between Ashton Day and Casey Carrington was presented before th main event with Ashton Day getting the win. Casey Carrington would give a heartfelt "see you later" as he would be venturing to the Nightmare Factory for further training. We here at the 216 Sports Network wish him the best.

After a short intermission, the second round was kicked off with  some fantastic round two match-ups with the final four competitors.

Semi-final 1) Derek Dillinger def. Vincent Nothing

Semi-final 2) Trey Miguel def. Nick Nero

The final and main event of the night featured the survivors of the final four in the tournament. Derek Dillinger would face Mega fan favorite Trey Miguel in the Mega Championship match. After some comedic and damn funny dialogue between both men the match kicked off and was action packed. For a big man Derek Dillinger moves very well and surprisingly had the speed to  keep up with the smaller, faster Miguel. After knocking the ref down and out, Dillinger would try to take advantage by placing his clapperboard in the hands of a incapacitated Miguel and try to convince a incoherent ref that Miguel had hit him. Miguel would use the distraction to roll up Dillinger for a "school-boy" pin 1,2,3!! The winner, and NEW MEGA CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING CHAMPION......TREY MIGUEL!!!
